Search for Bishop
The Search and Nomination Committee presented three bishop candidates to the Standing
Committee Thursday, July 29. The nominees are: The Rev. Peter F. Casparian, rector of Christ Church in Oyster Bay, Long Island,
N.Y.; the Very Rev. Martin S. Field, rector of St. Paul's Church in Flint, Mich. and the Rev. Canon E. Daniel Smith,
Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese of Missouri. Information about the candidates is available
on the bishop search Web site. Petition nominations for bishop will be accepted August 9 to 27 and may be submitted electronically through the bishop
search Web site.
